RHOG Care Homes offers 24-hour residential care and support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a safe, structured, and family-style environment. Core Services Include: · 24-hour supervision and compassionate direct support. · Individualized Care Plans developed collaboratively with the resident, family, and clinical team. · Behavioral and clinical support from licensed professionals. · Medication assistance and management. · Health and safety oversight, including emergency preparedness. · Life skills training and community participation programs.
Are all bedrooms private?
Not necessarily. Residents may choose between a shared or private bedroom based on their personal needs and home availability. Each space is carefully curated to maintain dignity, comfort, and a true sense of belonging. Our common living and dining areas further encourage social bonding. Room placements are handled with care, considering compatibility and individual support requirements to ensure all youth feel respected within our community.
What staff training does RHOG require?
All RHOG staff complete comprehensive training that meets or exceeds state standards. Training Highlights:· 40 hours of initial training covering personal rights, emergency procedures, medication assistance, and trauma-informed care.· Crisis prevention and intervention training in addition to the 40 hours, required before working independently with residents.· Ongoing annual training in areas such as health and safety, infection control, communication, and person-centered practices. This ensures that every team member provides care that is compassionate, competent, and aligned with current best practices.
How is schooling handled for residents?
We work closely with local Canadian school boards to facilitate continuous education. For those with unique needs, we provide specialized on-site learning support tailored to their developmental stage.
What social activities are available?
Community integration is vital. Our youth participate in local outings, creative arts sessions, cooperative gaming, and supervised sports to build social confidence and essential life skills.
